The Orange Garden series is a love letter to summer inspired by a recent trip to Italy and Greece.
While walking through Rome, I was captivated by the historic buildings and ancient ruins—so much so that I barely noticed the trees lining the sidewalks. But then, I looked up. Nestled among the branches were bright bundles of oranges, unexpected yet vibrant against the cityscape.
Strangely enough, I had been hoping to visit a hidden park in Rome known for its orange trees, yet here they were, quietly flourishing along the road.
I wanted to capture the warmth and energy of summer. Oranges are traditionally harvested in winter, yet I’ve always associated them with the golden glow of summer, much like an Aperol Spritz on a sun-drenched afternoon. This series captures that feeling—the warmth of the season, the bold colors of citrus, and the joy of slowing down to savor a perfect moment.
