Hello! I’m Caroline Day Cherry, Owner of Cherry Day Art.
As a professional artist, I find joy in connecting vibrant colors within still lifes depicting the mundane.
Where It All Started…
I was born and raised in Georgia. My parents have been a huge part of my artistic journey. Even from my earliest days of throwing paint around mindlessly, they encouraged me. When I was six years old, I started attending the art studio You Gotta Have Art. The studio held classes where students would recreate life-size Van Gogh paintings. I particularly remember painting Starry Night, because I was given artistic freedom to paint the houses and, of course, I painted them bright pink. These classes that I took for fun as a child had a huge impact on my artistic style, creating a love for bold brush strokes and color.
15 years later, my artwork continues to reflect my love for impressionistic style and vibrant colors, particularly pink! Continuing to pursue my passion for art, I graduated from Clemson University in 2023 with a BFA in Visual Arts and a minor in Digital Production Arts. While at Clemson, I was able to find my voice and complete my first series, Consume Me. The series contained four pieces of bright pink still lifes that explore the relationship we hold with technology, as shown by food. After graduation, I moved to Virginia, where I am continuing to explore the concept of consumerism and technology with my art.
